“A Picture of Jesus”
Through His Five Fold Ministers
7-2008
Recently, I was in a prayer meeting and was praying out loud against a spirit of
witchcraft that was ascending up before the Lord. I kept hearing New Orleans.
Many residents of the New Orleans area are still full of anger and rage and
unholy prayers against America were coming before the Lord.
Going back to when the actual event took place, I heard the Lord say that this
was Judgment from Him because of what America had forced upon Israel. America
had pressured Israel to give away the Gaza strip to the Palestinians and the
Lord
had a quick response within a days of allowing hurricane Katrina to touch the
United States. The idea was since America had caused the Land of Israel loss and
to be divided, then the Lord would divide and cause loss to America. We touched
the apple of God's eye, those who contend with Israel, the Lord will contend
with them.
There is a very pointed prophetic word regarding this topic titled, “Who are we to divide your land?”
Whenever we are offended by what we hear, we should take note and honestly go
before the Lord and ask the question:
What are you saying to me through this
circumstance?
Am I offended because it offends the Scriptures I love and trust or is it more
close to home? By that I mean are these words offending my own beliefs? The ones
we have established since the day I was born.
When another man took offense and openly rebuked me saying that New Orleans was
NOT a judgment of the Lord, I too was temporarily offended. However through this
the Lord began to speak to me and reveal to me that His ministers (all of us)
and especially the “Five Fold” vessels will be very emotional about certain
aspects of our ministries.
Through this I believe the Lord was showing me why such divisions in the Body of
Christ arise but also how we can gain understanding and deal appropriately.
Diversity in the Spirit is
not a negative but rather a “Gift”
to His Body and a means to display a more accurate and defined picture of
“the Character of Christ.”
Each of the Five Fold have differing anointings, responsibilities and passions and
will view a circumstance in various ways. Below you will see that in each of the
Five Fold ministries there will be enormously differing opinions but if we can
simply understand “that is
the way we have been wired”,
there will be greater unity among the brethren.
“A
Picture of Jesus”
Through His Five Fold Ministers
1. Apostles. “The Government of God” (Is 9:6)
For the explanation of this concept please see Prophetic teachings and
“The Government of God.”
2. Prophets, “Justice and Judgment” (Is 9:7)
Justice also includes encouragement and anointing through to rebuke and correction and
everything in between. However anyone
who does not believe that God sends Judgment
upon individuals, governments, cities and nations does not understand
“The Full
Character of God!”
3. Evangelists, “Love and Mercy”
When those who are called specifically to the office of an evangelist, they will
have what I believe to be an anointing or impartation of love for the lost. We
all have love for the lost but these people will have a greater anointing and
passion for the lost more than any of the other five fold. Many times, these
people will display great love and incredible mercy and while they will receive
and give prophetic words, their primary concern is to bring every soul in to the
Kingdom.
4. Pastors, “Marriage,
Relationship and Sacrifice”
These men are called to dwell among and sacrifice their lives just as Jesus
did. Shepherds are called to watch over the flock just as Jesus and lay down
their lives accordingly. Their calling is all about relationship.
5. Teachers, “Architects of Truth”
These ones are endued with a great passion of following after truth and
identifying error within the camp.
“ Whom will he teach knowledge? And whom will he make to understand the message?
Those just weaned from milk? Those just drawn from the breasts? For precept must
be upon precept, precept upon precept, Line upon line, line upon line, Here a
little, there a little.” Isaiah 28:9-10
Ephesians 4
Walking in Unity
I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the
calling with which you were called, with all lowliness and gentleness, with
longsuffering, bearing with one another in love,
endeavoring to keep the unity of the
Spirit in the bond of peace.
There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your
calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is
above all, and through all, and in you all.
Spiritual Giftings
But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christ’s gift.
Therefore He says:
“ When He ascended on high,
He led captivity captive,
And gave gifts to men.”
(Now this, “He ascended”—what does it mean but that He also first descended into
the lower parts of the earth? He who descended is also the One who ascended far
above all the heavens, that He might fill all things.)
And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and
some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of
ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity
of the faith and of the knowledge of
the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness
of Christ; that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried
about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning
craftiness of deceitful plotting, but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up
in all things into Him who is the head—Christ— from whom the whole body, joined
and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective
working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the
edifying of itself in love.
The New Man is Created
This I say, therefore, and testify in the Lord, that you should no longer walk
as the rest of the Gentiles walk, in the futility of their mind, having their
understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God, because of the
ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart; who, being
past feeling, have given themselves over to lewdness, to work all uncleanness
with greediness. But you have not so learned Christ, if indeed you have heard
Him and have been taught by Him, as the truth is in Jesus: that you put off,
concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to
the deceitful lusts,
and be
renewed in the spirit of your mind,
and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in
true righteousness and holiness. Eph 4:1-24
