“Ambush in the Upper-Room”

The dream began with my being on what I believe was the ground floor of my house/dwelling. I knew I had to go upstairs for some reason, to either retrieve something or to accomplish a task.
The “upstairs” was not merely on the second or third floor but when I arrived upstairs, I instinctively knew I was twenty floors up.
As I was walking from one room in to another, there was an ambush.
Unseen entities (knew there were two) came from both sides. In just a lighting flash of a moment, each grabbed my arms as though their hold upon my arms were as vices of steel, absolutely unmovable.
At first I saw nothing but when I first felt these for lack of a better term arms, grabbing mine, I looked down to see what appeared as florescent green arms encircling my own. At this same time, a hand tried to cover my mouth but since my head was free, I was able to pull my face from the hand and began shouting the name Jesus, Jesus, Jesus!
It took about 3 to 4 times of saying His name and the attackers fled.
James 4:7 states, “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”
When I awoke, I began to review the dream and ask the Spirit the reason for it. Over the last 27 years, I have undergone four of these attacks and each time felt there was a lesson to be learned in the dream.
In the first encounter, I quickly learned of the Power in the Name of Jesus; within just a few times of saying that wonderful Name, the attack almost immediately ended.
Keeping that in mind, why is it then, when we are under attack, do we not use His Name more quickly and “if” we do why does it seem that deliverance is slow in coming.
Am I alone in this lack of understanding of how to respond to the onslaught of the enemy? With each passing day we see the hardship of injustice and calamities mount and we have become so impervious to the suffering that we say in our heart, “Oh well, a sign of the times.” We in many ways have come to be pacifists.
Are we really so defenseless or is there One who champions righteousness. Can we or can we not call upon the Name who has no shadow of turning, One who makes crooked ways straight. Perhaps I am missing something here, am I being too simplistic?
We have been born in to a priestly tribe in the house of the King.
We have All authority and All privileges and All obligations to appropriate the things of God.
He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. John 1:11-13 KJV
And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.

HaShem, The Name is always available to us; His seal is upon us,
And He has engraved your name upon the palm of His hand.
May all men hear and be drawn to that Wonderful Name, Jesus!

UPDATE: 9-11-2010
After having this dream and having had others like it over so many years, I asked the Holy Spirit the reason for it.
About a year ago, in another dream, I was told by the Spirit, because I was declaring the things of God, confessing the Word of God, taking communion the devil assigned to me was losing ground. In that dream, I felt almost as if I were receiving a field promotion. I heard the Spirit say, “because you have chosen to enter the fray, the enemy assigned to you is losing ground and has called for another demon of a higher ranking to assist him in his fight against you.
” That same night, within a few hours, indeed I was attacked in another dream but again won the victory.
In the above dream, when I went upstairs, I did not find myself on the 2nd or 3rd floor but rather I knew instinctively that I was 20 stories up.
Additionally, it was here in the upper-room that I was attached not by one demon but two.
After sending this dream out, I continued asking the Spirit for further meaning of this dream.
This dream above took place on July 3, 2010. The next month, august there was another attack that that shook me. Then in Sept, another and another. Three different attacks took place, two were monetary and one physical.
When the first happened I did not take thought of the dream, however when the quick succession of the last two, I then realized the significance of the warning within the dream.
The reason I feel led to share all of this with you is to possibly be a help to you. As events proceed on God’s divine schedule, we will be either a victim or a conqueror!
Just saying we are more than conquerors does not defeat the devil, we must appropriate the things of God in order to be Overcomers. We will be as one who exercises good communication skills or one who stumbles in the dark because of our inability to hear and understand what the Spirit is saying. We are hindered many times by our attitudes and being unteachable. We must learn “His ways!”
