“Why Prayer is Not Answered”

November 18th, 2016

A vital passage”

The Church has misunderstood!

“If Two of You Shall Agree”
Mathew 18:19

The implications of this Scripture has extreme importance

Dear Saints, the Church has come through history where she at times will undergo periods of unfolding revelation. Each time this occurs there is a quickening and a wonderful time of refreshing which deepens the faith of countless believers. Although it may appear new to us at the time, it was an understood principal of the early Church and for a season was lost but now found again.

We are now in such a period of having all things restored. However this time the restoration of the revelation will not cease but rather it will continue to unfold until this end of the age is complete and His purposes fulfilled.

But as for you, Daniel, conceal these words and seal up the scroll until the end of time. Many will go back and forth and search anxiously [through the scroll], and knowledge [of the purpose of God as revealed by His prophets] will [greatly] increase.” AMP (amplified) Daniel 12:4

I have viewed this passage in the KJV for many years as a foretelling of man’s future ability to do the impossible. I have understood it to speak of technological breakthroughs but this version states something very different.

It is speaking of an end time restoration of those hidden things that were sealed up but once again they are now opened to the Church and we are seeing the revealed Word and these expressed truths as being able to reshape our understanding.

Wish to share that when an idea or question is brought to me by the Spirit, I do not act impulsively but allow it to sink into my spirit, to test the word. The integrity of the Word is paramount to all of us and should be carefully guarded as to its rightful translation.

As a believer for thirty four years I have studied much and have firmed up my beliefs just as many of you. However in the last six months, the Holy Spirit has brought to me a revelation of this Scripture.

There are considerable implications of the understanding of this passage which will change both the way we think and pray!
In short, this passage is extremely relevant as how we relate to and work with the Holy Spirit.

 The passage
Again I say unto you, That if “two of you” shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. Mathew 18:19

Question
Have you and another believer ever prayed for anything “in unity”, have two of you asked and not received the thing you both prayed? Has your church come into unity and agreed while praying for a sick one only to watch as that Believer grew worse or passed?

We could continue asking similar questions but am sure you get the idea. The Church throughout her history has prayed earnestly and the passage states if “two” will agree, it shall be done!

While we have full confidence in that passage, then why did it not happen?
What are we doing wrong?

Another passage states, Let God be true and every man a liar. Romans 3:4a

We know the issue is not with God, so it must be that our understanding or our “interpretation” is incorrect!

Dear Saint, it is extremely important that we understand this principal. The Church has been content to read these passages without accounting for their reliability in our everyday lives.

When we do this, it leads to our inner-man being confused. We are attempting to “reconcile” what the Word states “verses” our own life experiences. We see our faith almost as being challenged when the Word does not match our personal reality.

The Holy Spirit is in constant fellowship with the Father and the Lord Jesus therefore He knows the perfect will of both since all are in perfect agreement. Knowing the Holy Spirit is in perfect unity, “He also knows their specific will” for any given situation.

What if we were to gather ten thousand Believers and they all agreed in asking for a specific thing. It would still be possible for their asking/prayer to miss the will of the Father and therefore remain unanswered. And this is why our prayers are not realized!

However if even one man’s spirit is asking/praying in conjunction with, in agreement with the Holy Spirit, “if they two agree and ask”, it will be done for them. Again the Holy Spirit will only pray in accordance with the will of the Father.

So if “the spirit of man” is in agreement with the Holy Spirit, “the asking” will be answered!

This brings us back to praying in the spirit
For if we are praying with understanding, we are praying in the flesh! However if we are asking/praying with our spirit man, this allows us to drop all fleshly desires, concerns and agendas.

It is then that we are more able to approach in the right manner, we simply allow our spirit to come into union with the Holy Spirit.

This is the connecting part of the equation, to pray in the spirit so that we are in unity with the Spirit.

The corrected translation
The passage states, “That if “two of you”
It does NOT state if “any” two of you.

The passage does not imply “Two Believers”.

The Two that are referenced here in this passage is
the spirit of the Believer AND the Holy Spirit!

Being anxious for nothing but in “all things” letting our requests be known unto God (in understanding) but then we continue to pray in the spirit. We are allowing our spirit man to connect with the Holy Spirit and they two agree as touching the thing will be answered.

This is one more reason why the Holy Spirit was sent to us in that since He lives in us, we have that same ability to fellowship with the Father and the Lord Jesus through Him.

till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man,
Ephesians 4:13a

Dear Saints, when one begins to realize answered prayer, it will always bring about an explosion of expectation!

Blessings to you and your house,

PS Why I use the 111 after my website and email.
The 111 has a double meaning. The first is the following.
“The Lord is diligently watching over His Word to perform it”

And the second was a reference to:
The Rod of the Almond Tree known as the Awakening one!
