“Discerning the Times”
The children of Issachar, which were men that had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do; (1St Chron 12:32A)
“He (Yeshua) answered and said to them, “When it is evening you say, ‘It will be fair weather, for the sky is red’; and in the morning, ‘It will be foul weather today, for the sky is red and threatening.’ Hypocrites!You know how to discern the face of the sky, but you cannot discern the signs of the times.
Matthew 16:2-3 NKJV
It is estimated that between one forth and one third of the entire Bible, that is the Torah, the Prophets and the writings along with the New Testament is prophetic. Many times we pass over scriptures without any thought as to the prophetic relevance in the passage.
Tell me, if the Lord felt it so imperative to bring this to light, that these men had an understanding of the times and what they ought to do, then…..where does that leave us? Should we not also be seeking to know the times and seasons and what we ought to be doing?
The reason for so much of the Bible prophecy is to enable the believer, especially in these End Day to not become anxious or fearful of those things that we are seeing and experiencing.
That is why so much prophecy is coming forth today!
It is to refresh us and reveal to us many things that have been sealed up for the latter days! In God’s mercy, He is opening to us an outline if you will of coming events so you will not be surprised, swayed or disillusioned. Disillusion can cause faith to falter and fear to enter in so it is of utmost importance for us to have an understanding of what He is doing in the earth.
Many Believers will say I really don’t care about all this prophecy stuff, or, they may believe that the prophecies are too complicated. Besides, if we are believing in the Messiah, does it really matter, I will still go to heaven won’t I?
The Holy Spirit inspired men to write these words for a reason! Would a parent find pleasure in seeing their child try and fail to use something that was too complicated? Of course not! The parent will educate the child by helping him to discover and to comprehend the correct usage.
This is exactly what the Spirit of the Lord is doing. He is instructing us through these prophetic scriptures if we will study and ask Him for His guidance. There will be great loss in the days ahead for many who chose not to study His Word and show themselves approved.
Without this prophetic education, many will perish and or suffer needlessly. Without a vision, the people perish, vision is the language of the Holy Spirit.
Obviously, there are differing viewpoints on this topic! Yet regardless of what “we think”, there really is only one authoritative figure whom we should be listening, the Holy Sprit. He is the way the Lord communicates. He is the Spirit of Truth, He is the one who inspired all of the written Word.
“Not by My power nor by My might but by My Spirit saith the Lord!” The Lord sits in the Throne Room seated on the right hand of the Father, it is by His Spirit that He communicates.
The Idea being presented here it is, we have been commanded to “Know the Seasons”. Just as the “Sons of Issachar and to prepare accordingly for what lies before us.
Jesus was not criticizing them for discerning the weather for what tomorrow would bring.” Why would the Lord spend so much of His time using the prophets to warn us?
Example
Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in Himself of two into one new man, so making peace; And that He might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby: Eph 2:15-16 KJV
This one new man from the two that He Yeshua is referring was the Jew and the Gentile.
There were two galaxies that were opposed and at different angles. They began moving toward each other and it became One New Galaxy. (Show this on website under Astronomy)
These two will become the Bride that has been set aside to Tabernacle in His presence with Yeshua for all eternity.
Question, has this happened in the natural? No, it has not happened in the natural but since the Lord sees His creative work in it’s completeness, it is done!
But to us in the natural, it is a future event or we would consider this a prophetic word!
My wish is to encourage you, “end time events” are not too difficult to comprehend. We are about to adventure in to experiencing revelational events that have been written for millennia.
I have found throughout the Scriptures there are “keys” that open up and lead to other chapters and verses. Of all the books in the Bible, there is only one that promises a special blessing when it is read………..
The Book of Revelation!
