“Pennies on the Dollar”
Summer 2006

For some time now I have been hearing the Lord saying,

“Pennies on the dollar, Pennies on the dollar.”

The Lord is saying this deep within my spirit because of what is coming to America concerning her economy!

Many will say “America has always pulled herself up by her bootstraps and always will.”
Never realizing that it was not that “we somehow blessed ourselves” but rather we worked and the Blessing of God came upon our efforts!

When a nation walks away from God, what should He do to get our attention?

Unless He makes those things that we seek with all our heart…to flee from us!

Does a loving parent continue to give everything to a child when the child misbehaves?

The Lord has been trying to show all of us that having beautiful homes, nice automobiles, all types of recreational vehicles and every type of pleasure that what we have been seeking will not give us lasting joy. Nor will it give us the peace that most people openly admit they do not have and can not find!

Please do not misinterpret what the Lord is saying, it is not wrong to have these things but “we have set our hearts on these things and not on Him!

The Lord is saying,

“Pennies on the Dollar”

Because in a very short time, He is going to show all of us “the true worth” of all that we have sought! We have fled from all that is critically important and ran to the altar of the corruptible,

those things that have little worth and no lasting value.

You will literally be able to go out and purchase homes, automobiles, and every thing under the sun for “Pennies on the Dollar.”

However, there will be one catch and that is that we will be a Nation in Want without the means to satisfy those wants. By this, I believe that the Lord will be removing His hand of blessing and making us a “Nation of Need and Want.”

By withdrawing His hand, many perhaps most of America will be working (if we can find work) long days for little wages and many will be homeless. I am saying that millions will be without what we call basic necessities, food, water and shelter and clothing.

Despair will be rampant; hope will be in short supply! It has been said that man can live for about 40 days and then he must eat or die. He can live for about 4 days without water then he must drink or die. He can live for about 4 minutes without air, then he must breath or die but he can not live for 4 seconds without Hope!

Perhaps then, we will seek after that which does not flee from us,

that which is incorruptible, “The Wisdom of God.”

The Bible, “God’s inspired word, The roadmap given to man to enable him to find his creator says,

To know wisdom and instruction, To receive the words of understanding, To receive the instruction of wisdom, Justice, judgment, and equity; To give prudence to the simple, To the young man knowledge and discretion.

A wise man will hear and increase learning, and a man of understanding will attain wise

counsel, To understand a proverb (a comparison) and an enigma, The words of the wise and their riddles.

“The fear (reverence) of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge.

But fools despise wisdom and instruction.”

My Son, hear the instruction of your father, and do not forsake the law of your mother.” Proverbs 1:2-8
